Also All City Mastering has moved to the beautiful Humboldt Park neighborhood. It was tough to leave the quiet and friendly Lincoln Square neighborhood, but my dog is loving it over here. Stay tuned for more exciting news…wish I could tell you more. BUT it’s a SECRET!

The new White Mystery self-titled album that was mastered by All City Mastering is out now on LP and digital. Check out this favorable Pitchfork review that went up yesterday!

Also the new JT & The Clouds album called “Caledonia” is coming out on LP and digital as well. The record release party will be at Empty Bottle on April 16th with my band Baby Teeth and Pool of Frogs. If you missed the vinyl listening event last week at Charleston, please come out and support this local group and buy their album!

Hello people and welcome to 2010!

Busy time right now working on 2 masters concurrently. Putting the finishing touches on the new JT & The Clouds album which sounds great and will most certainly rocket them in the stratosphere. I’m thinking Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien. Oops…no.

That album should be coming out soon as they are planning a CD release on April 16 at Empty Bottle. Also working on the 4th Herculaneum album featuring new, incredible instrumental music from this seasoned quintet. Fans of Eric Dolphy and Can take note.

I’m very excited to have just finished my first mastering gig for Chicago’s awesome brother-sister combo White Mystery. In case you don’t know, White Mystery have been slaying at venues across Chicago over the past year and are preparing to release their first full-length record on Hozac Records. The release will be coming out on vinyl and digital soon. Keep your ears open!

Got some new stuff to update you with from All City Mastering’s 2009 work:

Baby Teeth’s new album “Hustle Beach” is coming out on July 14th, via Lujo Records. As you may know, I am the drummer in Baby Teeth so I may be biased when I say you should go out and buy it. The album was recorded at Key Club in Benton Harbor, MI and mixed/mastered in the labs of All City Mastering.

Chicagoan Adam Fitz has a new live album coming out that was mastered here and the show to celebrate the release called “Spazz Ballads and Friendly Fire” will be happening at Schubas on July 8th.

Other new albums out this summer from Chicago bands The Editorial We and The Streeters!

Hi there!

Lots of new stuff going on at All City Central. I’m currently mastering the new Baby Teeth full-length Hustle Beach which will be released by Lujo Records in May 2009. Before that comes out though there will be an iTunes exlusive digi EP featuring the title track from that forthcoming album and some new unreleased material as well.

Also just hot of the press is the new EP by Chicago band Big Science. It was recorded and mixed by the band in their own studio. They are self-releasing this fine EP and celebrating it with a show this Friday night at the Hideout.

Well, there’s been a lot of stuff going on here at All City Mastering. I just finished up Emily Hurd’s new full-length called “A Cache In The Warehouse Floor”. It’ll be out soon and she tours all over this fall so check out dates at www.emilyhurd.com.

This coming week I’ll be mastering Abraham Levitan’s (Baby Teeth) first ever solo album called “Speak, Memory.” It will be released via Lujo Records in November of this year. Expect more of the same great lyric writing and music twists you’ve come to expect from this ace songwriter. The new All City Affairs record will also be out on Lujo on Oct. 23rd!!!

I’ve been mastering New Century Machines from Chicago and a Papa M record that will be coming out on my friend Aaron Osianny’s new vinyl only label called Wildlife Vinyl out of Los Angeles. It’ll be distributed by Drag City and every release will feature handmade artwork.

Welcome to the new All City Mastering website and the ushering in of version 2.0! I’ve recently upgraded my studio with new mastering gear which you can read about on the “Gear” page. I’m currently mastering my new record which is under my solo music moniker of All City Affairs. (see a pattern here?)
