Rates are $30 per song, $50 minimum.

So if you have a 12 song album, it would cost $360. Or a 5 song EP would cost $150.

Why per song? A lot of mastering engineers charge by the hour and that makes sense considering a lot of jobs are paid by the hour, but it doesn’t necessarily reflect the project as a whole. I feel like bands are usually looking to budget their recording costs and charging per song gives the artist a clear way of calculating expenses. Charging by the hour puts the focus on the mastering engineers and not on the artist.
